A Website and Animations to Create Awareness About Male Breast Cancer
This site was created as part of my Capstone Project for my Master of Liberal Arts, Harvard Extension School, in Digital Media Design.
I chose this project after my husband was diagnosed with stage III breast cancer. He ignored his lump for almost three years. When I asked him why he didn’t see his doctor sooner he told me “I didn’t think it could happen to me”.
This site seeks to raise awareness about Male Breast Cancer. While men comprise only 1% of all breast cancer patients annually, men generally have a poorer outcome as they tend to ignore symptoms and do not seek treatment early:
